Hi Swanrad2,

Perspex is OK. You can drill it and cut it. It does tend to show scratches but light scratching can be buffed out with Brasso. Some variants of Perspex get very brittle when they are cold.

I made a little panel out of a bit of aluminium sheet recycled from a scrap instrument casing.

Where do you get the engine hours meter from, I tot up hours run in the log but if it's cheap and easy to have a proper meter I would be interested?

£6.35 - no idea yet if it is any good, no instructions for example.

They have a decent website with all sorts of stuff on it. Quick delivery as well. Connections were easy on mine. Only two spade terminals on the gauge. One connection from the key switch to the B+ terminal and the other terminal back to the NEG side of the battery circuit. Turned it on and it makes a gentle ticking noise very 6 minutes.
