Wiring GPS into a 12V cigarette socket type plug!?

Thanks, VicS. That worked for me, too, solving a minor irritant that had appeared in recent days. I'd simply been stripping out the unwanted at the beginning.

I had actually been wondering what would happen if that box was ticked ... I did not really understand the explanation on the site. Now we all know.

It would not have been a problem on the old forum because that accepted clickable links.
I find it irritating that I cannot now use the clickable thumbnails. I often used that facility in the past and in fact I used it on another forum only this evening to post several pictures.

VicM I don't know about the first pic (think it's is an original of the period!) but the second is down the road from me in Shere village and I would but it if i had the money. One owner, 2001 Beaulie model, 4300 miles, crossflow engine, wants 13k for it, steep but Caterhams don't go much under 10K. I'd give him 12K for it but don't have the money , got to sell the Crabber first at the end of this season and buy a cheaper boat to free funds .

They could, quite easily. Unfortunately it's a deliberate decision (a bloody stupid one) apparently made by Time Warner who ultimately own IPC. They have decreed that no web site run by one of their constituent companies shall allow users to post proper hyperlinks. Talk about micro-management!
