Further to my water tank sender post, the mechanical bits have now arrived.
The instructions are "translated" (well vaguely) Italian. Example: Not cut and atricke the rod of sender.
Or: Conect points -,+,S,L. Conect + to 12v DC circuit that is activated by the ignition switch. Conect the point L to positive instrument lighting circuit.
And so on.
From the diagram, the gauge and sender should apparently be joined by the "brown" lead and the negative by the "blue" lead and a further terminal by "yellow-green"
The only wire that arrived is with the sender; a sealed at the sender, 2-strand flex, that is dark blue and black.
Confusion reigns!
