Wireless Winch Controller Wiring

I have purchased one of these cheap wireless controllers and have wired it up without a fuse. The controller (black box) is next to the solenoid and has the positive connected directly to the positive supply to the windlass which comes from the battery via a 90 amp fused thermal contact breaker. The other cables connect directly to the solenoid (the blue is the antenna). Do I need an inline fuse between the Positive connection and the control box? Thanks.

Yes, you need an additional fuse. The 90A windlass breaker is much to large to offer any protection for those thin wires on the controller.

The instructions (if it came with any) should indicate the appropriate fuse size. Alternatively measuring the wire size will give you the best idea of the correct size, it will probably be 3A or 5A.

Thank - you, I thought so, but don't remember the instructions mentioning a fuse. I'll put a 5 amp fuse inline.
