I'm decluttering boat. Out goes rusted solid huge bolt cutters. All I need is a tool to cut 6mm stainless wire in an emergency demasting. Amazon has lots of one's for bike cables but up to 5mm.

Any recommendation of light good quality wire cutters that actually work?

You mention rusty bolt croppers
To save my bolt croppers going rusty I have them fitted to the engine side of one of the engine access panels. Being in such a position they are quick to access as they are not under loads of gear & the engine heat keeps them dry. The handles drop through a couple of extra large lacing eyes to hold them on the back of the panel so can be slipped out quickly

Thanks olewill, but they are so heavy. This year I am trying to lighten the boat.

The gaudat looks a great piece of kit but way out of my price range.

I am going for the GSproducts 24 inch wire cutter

And yes, I will store them differently.

Thanks to all.
