Winter Works Programme Update and Changes

That's what i would have done first off to be honest.

PP is juggling many many balls with the winter works programme , especially since the adverse weather events. He's a good guy , and has the navigations best interests at heart.

I'm sure PP has its just a bit confusing, Whitchurch was due to be finished on the 19th I wanted to use the lock on the 24th and return through it a few weeks later. Clearly it wasn't going to finished with the floods, so TB rung the lock and it turns out work didn't even start, new plan to be determined in the next issue. The next issue comes out and it still says it will be closed up to the 19th which has now passed! So will it be open and work not carried out? Ok they don't know when it will start work but is any planned at all now? Anybody looking at that list now would assume it is finished and have no need to ring the lock at all.

Amazing, I see issue 4 has now been edited and no work planned at Whitchurch :D Isn't that issue 5??? Anyway a result, shame the river isn't navigable:o

Shows you the power of this forum and TMBA self help....

Old Windsor won't be open or finished over the Holiday (I'd be interested to know if it is reopened earlier than published)

Penton should be open later today - but there's a 'leccy problem - sprocket out of true on'treddle and you may have to fill and empty the lock with buckets.

All very academic as the River's running like stink with more water promised. Very silly for anyone to be out.
