Collected the temperature loggers this afternoon - had one down between the engines and one by the wheel in the cabin.

This year I indulged in a single 250watt tube heater with a frost stat set to come on if the temperature in the engine bay dropped below 2 C.
As you can see from the graph this happened only briefly on a couple of occasions around 3rd and 11th February. Total electricity units used only 37 during the period.
With the raw water side flushed through with 50/50 antifreeze the heater clearly wasn't really necessary.

Very interesting -
looking at your annual figures, I wonder why every season I panic and rush for a winter berth with some 'leccy.
Few creature comforts on "my" island.
