after the last delivery trip , I'm beginning to think that storing the boat over winter near falmouth might be a pleasanter way of working than the twice a season bash round lands end.

any recommendations - boat is a 35 ft deep fin and I would prefer out of water storage. costs?

I overwinter here.

I like it because it is concrete hard standing, secure and you can park right next to your boat if you are working on it. The prices are not on the website but I would just call them and ask.

Thanks. Had a quick call and the cost last winter for my 35 footer would have been about £1400 - much the same as a full year pontoon berth up here and more expensive than I would want to pay. Are there alternatives? Doesnt have to be Falmouth itself - I would happily go as far as Plymouth. A delivery trip down there is a lot easier than the one I'm doing now.

Try Ponsharden Boatyard, Penryn, bit tatty but cheaper than Falmouth boat yard.

Do you mind, tatty, it's just lived in, kept our boat there for 10 years now.

For a 35 footer you would be looking around £170 / month.

There is Falmouth Boat Co, Flamouth Park and Ride do winter storage, Challenger Marine, Mylor YH, Cockwells may still do winter storage at Mylor Bridge, Pen Pol used to do winter storage.
