I forgot THE SALES! When you can wander down Cowes High Street and pick up a bargain £500 heavy weather jacket for £450. Or overpriced shoes with a 5% discount. My, how we do larf!

About £20 for a 10m boat, Lymington Yacht Haven is a bit more but that is down from more than £4/m and you do get one of the best marina showers that I have experienced

I think the best marina shower I've experienced in Lymington cost me a meal for two afterwards and a mauling of my credit card at a nice dress shop

I notice they are about to start dredging at Buckler's Hard so no visitor's facilities for a month or so.

Yes we were thinking about going out this week, though if we stray into Cowes i may need to stop off first for more fenders
