That is when us old seadogs get to enjoy the pleasures of walk ashore, finger pontoons, electricity, and week-end sailing. Two glasses of red down the Anchor and get the rest of the bottle free, happy hour, lunch time specials. Shiver me timbers!

I forgot THE SALES! When you can wander down Cowes High Street and pick up a bargain £500 heavy weather jacket for £450. Or overpriced shoes with a 5% discount. My, how we do larf!

About £20 for a 10m boat, Lymington Yacht Haven is a bit more but that is down from more than £4/m and you do get one of the best marina showers that I have experienced

Winter Rates on Dan Bran pontoon are same as Town Quay and you MAY be early enough to link up to the electricity.

I think the best marina shower I've experienced in Lymington cost me a meal for two afterwards and a mauling of my credit card at a nice dress shop :)
