In the past I have kept my wooden boats on a swinging mooring & at the end of the season they have been stored under cover for ease of maintenance etc
This year as I now have a new Hanse 311 I keep it in a marina. The marina owners charge the same annual fee if the boat is in the water or out of it. I intend to strip all the gear of the boat but am unsure whether it is best kept in the water until next easter & then lifted for a couple of weeks for scrub & polish & antifoul. Or should I have it lifted out now & kept in a cradle with 5 struts. What's the consensus of opinion on the best way to keep the boat ??

Any fibreglass boat is better out of the water to aviod osmosis while wooden ones dry out and leak so are better left in

I keep my boat in and bring her out in spring for a scrub up. Never had any problems. I think it depends if you intend to use her over the winter so that she gets a bit of use.
