I dont know if that has been covered in the usual questions but i have just taken the boat out and done all the usual things. Drained fresh water, ventilation, antifeeze in engine etc.
Last year I had the oil changed but because of the poor summer etc It will be lucky to have ran for 40 hrs max this year. Should the oil be changed before I put her back in?
It there anything else be checked apart from bellows and anodes?

make sure you go all round the grease zerks everywhere and grease grease grease and then grease some more...have you done your impellor????? if not do it now while she is out of the water and then also do your gearbox oil

I asked the same question about the engine oil, and the concensus was to change now not after the winter, which I have done, and feel a bit more relaxed about it. I did 50 hours this year, and the oil was not in the best condition, so I will change at the end of every season.

Thanks,

Impeller pump off as bearings need replaced, so thats taken care of.

Was going to do gearbox oil, but maybe just change engine oil before she goes back in

Ta

Concensus is change the engine oil at the end of the season, so there is less chance of corrosive damage during the winter lay-up due to contaminated oil. Seems to make sense to me.
