Winter Hard Standing around Alicante

We are cruising around the Balearics this summer and are looking to leave our boat ashore this winter somewhere on the Mainland as it is so expensive on the Inlands
Any ideas of locations please
Last year we wintered in France but don’t fancy the long hack back as we are limited on time

Not much around, depends on the size of your boat. You could try El campello,just North of Alicante, The new Varadero at Alicante DeCaveys(can take big stuff).Or inside the Mar Menor, Lots of little marina's and usually cheap.(Draft dependent)ie. Los nietos for one.

You could try Marina 2001 - on the stbd side of the canal leading to Tomas Maestre Marina, La Manga. Caesar is the man to ask. We had a 37 footer booked in there for six months a couple of winters ago but things often change!

Cheapest option is Almerimar but that may be a bit of a flog for you.

On the Islands on at the moment but it is too expensive to leave over there over the winter
We are paying 1200 euro for the the 6 weeks we are leaving her now so 6 months would be a very large ouch factor

Did you try San Carlos de Rapita, just south of the Ebro delta? Failing that, as somebody else said, Almerimar has a large hard - so to speak.

Aguadulce also has quite a big hard standing area. It's closer to Almeria and its airport than Almerimar and the busses to Almeria go more frequently.

I know it is a bit further north, but friends spent the winter in Benecarlo. Excellent marina, good yard, I think with good storage facilities - but check, hard standing, friendly staff, near to the airport (Reus) with lots of cheap flights. What is more they let you do your own work on the boat, unlike the marina at Almerimar and Agua Dulce.
But then again the fish restaurants at Calpe are excellent, wouldn't mind spending some time there over winter!

been a great help have one option availble but they will not let me work on the boat at the weekend as they are closed

Does any one know of anything possibly further north closer to Barcelona possibly where I could possibly work on the boat a few weekend in the winter.

Have you tried Torredembarra , Vilanova or Ginesta.
Olimpico may let you if you are there a fair bit of the time and their wifi is only Euros 29 per month for a good connection so you can work off the boat as well!!
Sundays dont seem to bother them if you are working on your boat.
You will have the choice then of Girona or Barcelona to fly into.
