Nice fish! It looks as if we're going to have another Cod-free year in the south east, nice to get a reminder of what they look like!

Nice fish. When I fished off the beach at Crosby in my youth (too many moons ago) the best we could hope for was a small flatty or a pesky eel. It's good to see the estuary is much cleaner now.

The Mersey is now rich in marine life and gets better every year. Salmon run up now, sea trout have been caught this summer and the range of species is fantastic for anglers.

Forgive my utter ignorance of sea fishing but do you throw them back or take them home and eat them?

That fish along with some whiting came home for the table. I filleted that fish to produce 4 decent meals.

Scare them to Milford Haven please!...all the cod in the Haven are long, spotted, rough as sand-paper, have five gills and shark like fins!

we have plenty of them too- in fact they make good eating, underated if you ask me.

Nice fish, they have now started to catch some south of the needles. Hopefully I shall be fishing for Cod & Whiting this coming Sunday

checked on my boat yesterday to find it had caught a fish..
unfortunately my boat decided to keep it and not throw it back so nice oily stain where it had been lying for up to 10 days...gggrrr
