For a few years now I have enthused about winter boating, and it seems I am not alone anymore. great to see some of the posts about it. but it does bring a whole load of things to watch out for that you don't have in summer boating.
slippery foredeck, lovely white boats don't show frost, so if in doubt, do the slippy walk, I use it on pontoons too. now how you execute this is up to your individual style but basically, just slid you feet along the surface in short steps , almost like ice skating.
wear gloves, then no chance of your hands sticking to cold hand rails.
Covers alway shrink in the winter, so if you take them down, put them somewhere warm and they will be easy a to put back on.
but most of all enjoy the winter red faces you get from having fun out there.
