Winner of the Amsterdam Boat Show boat of the year award

Ah yes the Elan, just look at all that shinyness, you can practically smell the plastic!

Rule 1 of photographing modern boats: View from lee side and lean it as much as possible to reduce the apparent height of the topsides....

Just a quick update, we were out on the Markermeer on Sunday with pretty good wind and saw a Saffier 32 up close, came up and tacked off to show me much of her bottom. Maneuvered very well and decidedly (and expectedly) faster than my Colvic Countess 33 (but then again he didn't get to sleep in a big aft cabin that night). I saw the same boat last month docked in Monnickendam, very well finished and getting a lot of passing visits. I looks like a great step up by Saffier.

Looks OK. Don't like the oval portholes, do like the mainsheet..

Interior looks OK. Chart table facing the wrong way?

Couldn't say more without sailing it. Certainly more attractive thana many.

I very nearly went for one of these. First saw saffiers 3 years ago at Ijmuiden boat show (highly recommended) but they were only producing 8.5s at the time. made a special trip to see the 32 last year and was very impressed ar first sight. Agreed expensive but just looks right. Ticked 'all the boxes' bar one, which is the ability to take the ground, desirable in my local waters. Was on the point of going back for a sailing trial when discovered RMs, which ticks all the boxes as far as i am concerned, albeit not so pretty as the saffier. Still occasionally look at the saffier web site, the 8.5 is a very pretty little boat, and who knows, in years to come, it may suit
