After the success of the Scuttlebutt Cherbourg wine tasting, and it's now subsequent consumption, I got to thinking of taking the ferry from here to Dieppe for a weekend. So where to buy wine, Carrefour? . Where to stay? Also doing a recce on this ahead of an excursion with extended family next year. Logis de france?

Not Dieppe I'm afraid but carry on down the coast to Fecamp where you'll find Caves Berigny - and a very knowledgeable wine shop proprietor who will guide you to some of France's gems.

I get the impression that as you get nearer to a ferryport the supermaket wines get worse.
