We're still at 45-55Kts.. offshore, 8m seas.
Another rise expected this afternoon ... !

Early next week is now shaping up for 30-40Kts NW/ Westerly on the west side of Scotland, relentlessly, as I suspected. Not a short blow , but sustained from Sunday-Tuesday. Could be nasty on Tuesday. I'm going to get a couple more bigger fenders this week-end if I can...
Cold NW airflow & a little quieter beyond Tuesday for a bit, but I don't think the high ridge will survive very long. Might sneak in a sail.:)

Ferry running really late so they've cancelled until tomorrow. Now ensconced in DFDS funded hotel giving the mini bar a rinsing

Get yourself out to the Square!!! First pub on the left as you walk over from the 'Minefield' They have some excellent beers there.

Mind and say Hello to Bill for me if he's in.

I was on one of the platforms this week and they recorded a wave of 29.3m. Wouldn't have believed it but it is one of the few platforms (I believe) with a wave gadget.

Flying has been very on and off with sea states and winds, although I would much rather fly in 50 -60 kt winds than be on a standby boat.

Oh and there are 12 fish cages making for Norway, last seen somewhere near the Ninian Oil Field.

It's been wild here of late.

It was looking potentially nasty on the 29th, but our darling Met Office barely mentioned it (Bawbag 2.5) until the trees were coming down?
Is saying nothing until it is breathing down our necks now official policy. Or official incompetence?
Are they scared to mention evil weather in advance?
I was snugging down lines and adding fenders on Sunday....
How did other folks still in the water fare?
