Hi Guys do any of you own one !! Wanted to know the pros and cons !! Never been on one, are the 715"s powerful enough !!

Thanks

If possible always go the optional desirable larger engines .It’s possible here .
A sunseeker dealer once advised this to me as like Windy they tended to offer / build several options .
A base spec and others .That’s a good start btw a builder offered options , a +ve .
The base spec being the “ hooker “ to generate buyer interest .

Mr Google tells me in the boat in question Windy did MAN 800s and later MAN900s depending on age .

Larger engine options are gems for used buyers as the sting of the of the initial depreciation of the owners pocket has been taken out as time passes by .It’s is a once event and now happened .Of course the boating community needs brave boys willing to tick every spec box , that’s a given .
The premium for larger motors on the used market as the decades roll by is now tiny .Worth it .

On paper at first glance 715 Hp feels weedy , compared to rivals similar sized sports cruisers .You are right to enquire and pose the question.Good thread .

How ever digging deeper to peel back the rationale behind the boat leaving the factory with 715s it has a cored hull and again Mr G informs me it’s dry weight is only 18000 kgs .That’s light for 17 odd meters and a 4.5 beam .

Wether a aged fully cored boat inc below the waterline means any thing to you and other readers on here is another question you are gonna have to go away and do your due diligence? You are not enquiring about this aspect , but it’s linked to the answer of your first question.

If you want to proceed with a purchase suggest you get the hull thoroughly surveyed AND find a larger engine spec .
