Thinking of moving our 40ft cruiser to Racecourse. Have any current users had any problems using the very narrow and winding entrance/exit.
Is there any system in place to ensure you don't meet a vessel of similar size coming the other way.

Does anyone have any experience of Racecourse Marina in general.

The tortuous entrance is 'fun' but at least it's out of the wind.

This previously scruffy marina has had a lot of money spent improving it, and it's facilities, and the staff are very friendly!

I've always enjoyed negotiating my way in and out of that Marina. I have however never met anyone traveling in the opposite direction.

I don't think I've ever met any boat coming in the opposite direction when I'm using a marina on the Thames.

A sad comment as IMO there should be a lot more traffic on the River......

I seemed to have met someone everytime I have gone in there and its always been the largest flybridge Sealine that will fit up there!
Somehow we have always managed to pass each other with a few branches being pushed out of the way. Nice and quiet but a long way from the town for eating options.
