Anyone know what the state is at Windsor? My boat is moored alongside in the MDL marina (I hope MDL have checked my warps) and I need to move her from MDL Windsor to the crane at the Yacht basin on Saturday - not looking good is it! No reports yet on the 'river conditions' forum for this section yet.
Thanks
Dave

strong flow everywhere at the moment.
i came out of penton hook marina for ten minutes on wednesday and the weir was fully open.
not a good idea to move on saturday and i don`t think you will
make it down the back water of the marina without being pushed into the trees on the first corner. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I would stay where you are. The river is tanking it past us in Staines. I was in Abingdon today and very high there, broken banks on the way down to Henley. Henley close to par with the road by the bridge. Big stream for a little while methinks!

Thanks Del_bouy/Gavi - I was hoping Windsor wouldn't be too bad with the Windsor relief but it's a good point if there is a potential problem in the Yacht basin marina entrance too!

the river will take about a week or two with no rain to get back to normal !!
Fingers crossed this will be the last of the floods and we can all enjoy this years boating !! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Disappeared I think. You're still here though! In manner of speaking!

Very nice manners too, I'll have you know /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Nephthys is now ours, and berthed very close to Mondello on 'A' pontoon (Yes! I have the access code!) and we'll get her commisioned as soon as it warms up.

We feel a name change is needed, and had a few ideas. Whaddya think?

1/ All That Jazz
2/ Ruby Tuesday
3/ Sweepea
4/ Just a Dash
5/ Brazen Hussy

We fancied something with a little character or humour, rather than the name of an Egyptian goddess of the dead... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

We would love to name her after you, but remember, we have to sleep on her too...

I wouldn't be able to /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Resisting the temptation to suggest Condom, I must admit to liking Ruby Tuesday as a name.

Mind you, that nice Mr Branson has a 747-400 with that name, so don't get them mixed up. A plane in the Hudson is ok for the Americans, but altogether too vulgar for the Royal River Thames!

PS It rained here in Los Angeles on Saturday. what a laugh!

STORMWATCH! CRISIS!!! on the TV.

People crying because they couild not find the windscreen wiper switch on their cars...
