Windsor - FINAL STATUS
Right, that's it. Need to get me and my stuff ready and down to the boat now.
This reflects all changes/additions and deletions I am aware of as of noon today. Any last minute pleas for inclusion or any other ammendments will need to call me on my mobile 07976 243823 or post here and I will try and respond as soon as I can.
Great response guys and gals and look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Cos up till now they’d always shunned
A certain type of boat
And when `True Blue` came along
they all welcomed him…
But what he didn`t tell erm.
Was his boat was long and thin…
Now our lads are most concerned
Cos they`ve organised a do…
And now coming out the closet
is our good friend, True Blue…
I have to tell you all ..he said
That I don`t have a Broom
My boat is 60 ft in length
And takes up lots of room
But I can go to the far bank
Across from where you are
And get there in my dingy
Or maybe in my car?
Murmurings of horror
Soon rose up from the clan
We`ve got to get this sorted
So let`s devise a plan…
First contact`s the marina staff
It is our only hope….
But Kev just stared back blankly
Saying “wots a narrowboat”
See, the management at Windsor
Accept anything that floats
Freeman Brooms and Birchwoods ..yes
But NEVER narrowboats
They`ll fill erm up with water
And pump the crap away
But when they`ve full and empty
they never let erm stay.
But now to the confessional
comes our old friend True Blue
And confronted with a narrowboat
they don`t know what to do
Could they not disguise it
And cover it with planks
Or could they blank the windows out
And say that it`s a tank
……
So True Blue it`s down to you
Your homes not all that far
just leave the boat at Tesco`s..

Sigh, I'm quite envious of you lot. I'm being dragged down to Lingfield to catch up with SWMBO's family who weren't able to make our 25th wedding anniv celebrations last month. Hi Mike - the smoking only really started when we filled up at T&K - I think they must use a poor(er) quality diesel. Anyway, I gather it's a Princess tradition. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. John Blake reckons it's a Broom trait but I'm bucking the trend

You were so apologetic when we finally met last evening, I suppose you thought I had read you "Odd Ode".
HeHe, no harm done - very amusing!
At least there were three bits of tin present:-
One generally agreed to be unacceptable,
one a bit wider - so possibly OK,
One or some, more conventionally shaped; so totally acceptable.
Whatever tub folks turned up in, I think it unanimous it was a **jolly** good evening and all congratulations to TonyR,

the second boat above who kindly let the first lie alongside,
the lovely ladies tending the catering,
and absolutely every one for being so jolly.

starboard engine would not start (probably battery/lights left on)
got soaked
car radiator leaking
#1 PC needs a rebuild of some form as it won't start.
home hot water tank had puddle under it
all on a filthy headache. I have only myself to blame, apparently

What to do with this thread.....
Now that the Windsor 'do' is becoming a memory, what should we do with this thread?
Should it be deleted and cast adrift on the great ocean of days gone by, or should we ask Dan to mothball it in some way so that we can refer to it in future?
