Windshield Replacement

I have a Doral 190 Sunquest Bowrider in Spain. Sometime over the summer my port windshield crazed and broke. The problem was discovered when the boatyard went to do some maintenance. Understand that Doral went out of business many years ago. The problem is with the Portside curved section at the front of the boat. Can anyone please identify a supplier or manufacturer that would be able to supply a replacement. In the worst case can anybody identify a manufacturer who could manufacture another complete windshield that would fit my boat. I have asked my boatyard to provide accurate dimensions and pictures. I am happy to work with UK, Spanish or manufacturers elsewhere. I have tried some Canadian companies, but not had a reply yet. I am awaiting a reply from Seaglaze in UK. Thanks all. Don Bruce

Would polycarbonate do the job? If so it's a DIY project!

The last time I heard of a requirement for a curved windscreen on a sports cruiser in the UK it was reported to be a £10k job and more than one attempt to get it right .

Thanks for your inputs. It will be an insurance job so will not go the DIY route. I am in contact with a Canadian company who will do the job for around $500 Canadian but We have to ship the frame to them.. Cost of transport will have to go on top. Waiting to hear from insurance company.

Try your local Carglass (I think that's what they are called in Spain). When my side window went (courtesy of someone else's davit - another story), they supplied one in toughened glass at a not unreasonable price.

I feel your pain. We have the same job to do, although was my own error drilling for new wiper motors (woops) ?
Fortunately, our are flat screens and were coming out anyway as they were leaky.
Currently we have perspex temporary replacement and will do the job over winter.
We I'll just make a template and give it to a household glazing company for single skin toughened glass. May get a blue tint put in too.

Good luck and in reality, if it wasn't this...it'd be something else! ?

Thanks, I suspect that I have a long way to go on this with the insurance company involved. Pointless paying out all that money every year and not claiming. The boatyard are not happy with tis type of work either; they are out of their comfort zone. Not yet found a UK or Continental company willing to do this sort of work. May have to stick with Canda's Flex A Fab.
