Windscreen wiper motors new thread

My Evasion 32 has two windscreen wiper motors which dont work. They are a compact unit with the motor mounted in line driving the shaft directly. Thought I had bright idea that a tailgate motor from a car would make a great substitute... Not so ...all seem to be driven by a side mounted motor which goes via a gearbox, and which are considerably more bulky.
Anybody got any idea where to get hold of either direct drive windscreen wiper motors, or the marine equivalent?

I would start by taking them to Furneaux Riddell , in Portsmouth.

Tractors and diggers often have self-contained motors.

Try someone who supplies spares for Landrover Series 1, 11 and 11a. They have exactly the same direct drive wiper motors. Google.

Also look at these on the Acorn Engineering website. Rather more attractively priced than the Furneaux Riddall motors!
