Windscreen washer jets............

The valve doesn't close properly the valve/solenoid that operates the jets-the valve wont close causing continuous water to come out of the jets.

The solenoid seems to work, as when operating the jets, more water comes out, as it should.
The solenoid has a manufacturer of "ASCO" but a google doesn't help.

The brass valve that I need, I think, has no markings at all.

Any ideas ?

Is the valve like the top one on this link:-? http://www.solenoidvalvesuk.com/catalogue/filecatalog/Page3.pdf

If it is then the ports have most probably got scalled up slightly causing the valve plunger to not close fully.

A slight dose of kettle / limescale descaller through the body should do the trick - or its a new one.
