HELP /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

just had an ipod for Christmas /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, now cant get the windows installer to work to run / install the downloaded software. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
tried re-booting without success /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
wot is wrong, all advise gratefully received /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
I have a problem with win as well.

Microsoft did an automatic update which installed explorer v8. I use Firefox but dident mind haveing the latest explorer.

When the updates were installed it changed my keyboard to English (USA)? I reset it to French it changed again & again now**)?

Its got worse*(exclamation mark)It now changes to German i change it back to French it goes back again as just now. Then starts changeing to English its driveing me mad* my controle panel says FRENCH but its not and the language bar in the tool bar that i dont want has disapeared as well now(exclamation mark Question mark)

What can i do Question mark I can send emails either as the "at" becomes²²²Exclamation mark

If you see anything worth getting can you give me a shout, new 30gig video from the fat bloke that comes down the chimney, need something to go with it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I got a travel adaptor as well, and a speaker docking system but it appears I dont know when enough is enough /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I bought a lovely new car/boat CD player for the boat a few months ago with USB interface for my old MP3 player and now I cant bloomin use it, I've just realised /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Oh well, I'll have to get someone I know to buy a new Beemer, they have built-in ipod interfaces...

Trouville, for what its worth, my friendly computer repairman told me a while back to never ever have anything to do with the automatic Windows live updates - he said that they were the cause re my machine throwing a wobbly, which cost 50 quid to fix.
And here was I thinking that because they came from Microsoft, they were all kosher....
 
Thats what i thought!I was really annoyed with the update.

I couldent stop it and i was useing quite slow wi-fi connections sitting on a cement post it made life slow and impossiable to email via yahoo! That kept timeing out.Or when not just wouldent go to compose to reply!!

It made me wonder if microsoft will add "updates" that make XP begine to fail that we all have to buy the new vista??!!
