My perspex windows are held in place with a rubber surround with a central bead. Some of these have aged and started to leak, I've been looking on the net for a supplier for the Flush fitting metal surrounds. I could fit new perspex windows with an overlap and fit flush screws, but this don't look good on some boats.

Be grateful for any names of suppliers or made to measure manufacturers.

Last year I had a satisfactory set of made-to-measure replacement window frames supplied by: Technautic Windows, Branchsound Ltd Unit 9 Burnham Business Park Springfield Road Burnham-On-Crouch Essex CM0 8TE Tel: 01621 782964.

They would be worth a try.

There is a company called MWF (Marine Window Fabrications) who advertise in PBO. I found them very slightly cheaper than Technautic and there was no problem with the quality of the windows. Don't skrimp on the sealant for the frame and do make sure you are precsice about the thickness of the material into which you are fitting the window as the fixings and finish depend upon this. MWF supplied the windows and finishing strips complete with fastenings and delivered in the time quoted. Do be very specific about the material being used (toughned glass, perspex or acrylic as they almost made mine of glass which wouldn't have taken the curvature. (I sent the old windows as patterns however they 'lost' curvature after removal from the boat despite being 34 years old.
