Yes, It probably wouldn't have broken if it had been! Seems a much better alternative.

I replaced the screen on our fly with polycarbonate. Easy to work with, several colour options, all thicknesses and fair cost (considering all). Actually used the old one as a template and copied the shape with a router.

Yes I realise that
Therefore a bespoke mould is required
Getting the bespoke mould exactly right cant be easy even with 3D scanning. Especially not easy as the object to be replaced is broken.

although maybe not 100% accurate but if the opposite side is the same pattern curve it could be 3d scanned as an opposite hand if you get my jist

The glass is still in place so despite the breakage the shape may be fine for scanning.
