Window Smashed and hull number

Hi All
Just found my portside front window smashed on my Cranchi Zaffiro 34.
Anyone know where I can get one made? It's a curved pane. I'm in Bristol UK.
Also does anyone know where I can find the Hull number.

Hull number should be on the transom.
 
When one of our side windows (Princess) was broken, in Spain, our engineer got a replacement made by a car windscreen supplier (Autoglass, I think).

Our hull number was also stamped in the fibreglass of the fore heads floor.
 
I had exactly the same problem but on a 21ft Bayliner cuddy.
The screen was Taylor Made.
They would not ship the glass only from usa to abroad so had to buy the whole window assembly including frame and adjacent panel through local Bayliner dealer. £2500 back in 2009ish. Covered by insurance.
It took months but meanwhile I made a replacement panel from a flexible polycarbonate material (lexon i think) which worked remarkably well and was not noticeable.
Have you tried Cranchi or the original screen manufacrurer?

You mean it's on a boat hence the price. That is a p*ss take in anyones book!
Of course there's a boat premium but I imagine that making a former and a screen for a Jensen Interceptor for example would be a costly exercise too. And fitting a screen to a boat will be harder than for a car too.

And if it's so profitable as you seem to suggest, why are so few companies offering the service?

For a new boat there would be a pattern for the glass as a flat plate and a hot glass bending mould over which the hot glass is laid to create the shape which may well be bespoke to the boat model.

For an old boat these will not have been saved.
