As I watch the snow fly horizontally past the window, I'm indulging in a spot of window shopping for a hypothetical future boat upgrade. Came across a mid-80s First 35 which ticks some of my boxes (skeg and shaft) and seems pretty good value.
Anybody got any experience of them?

Only round the cans. Seems to sail OK - not quite as well as my boat of course but acceptable.:) Looks to be more of a real cruiser racer and not a lightweight club racer only as most current models.

Thanks. Just curious about them as I'm usually rather old-fashioned in my tastes, and was surprised to find what looks like on the surface like an AWB, but without the usual spade/saildrive/wheel combo.
