Thinking about this: Leaky windows or a few streaks.....your call!!
Paul at Reading Marine Windows - based at the Better Boating site just below Caversham Lock.
Sent you PMAnyone got Paul Hughes mobile?? tried the number on the wall at Caversham but no reply. Have used him before but years ago
Thanks
I'm doing mine now, but seals-direct don't have the size that I'm looking for listed. Can anyone recommend an alternative supplier?
I heard back from Seals-Direct today and they came up trumps with the seals I need for my 45year old boat.:encouragement:
Between the frame and fibreglass should be Arbourmast Butyl(think that the correct spelling).
.
Abormast BR is the stuff to get. Butyl based, none setting and gets into every void and crack..... Slap it on, tighten up, it will squeeze out every where, clean up with paper towel and white spirit. Job done for 20 years!!!
It's what the pro used on mine when I paid him to do one window.... It's what I used when I did all the rest!!! No leaks yet!!!
Thanks for taking the time to post the link. I ordered a couple of tubes earlier today; it looks like a more reliable solution to neoprene with siliconed screw holes.
