Hi
Would your readers have info on the following outboard.
Its a "WIND" 8 hp and the model is W8MR, a two cylinder two stroke.
Year is 1994.
I am looking for the mixture ratio.

To be honest, I have never heard of the make called "Wind". Would it be a re-badged other make like Evinrude or Yamaha - the reason I cite these two is that they make 8HP outboards and Yam definately sell outboards under other names, or in conjuction with other manufacturers. Have a look around the motor and see if you get any evidence of this.

Sorry I can't be more helpful - and judging from the lack of replies, you have stumped quite a few of us here!

Thanks Dave, I have checked the plate and yes its "Wind" and this name is also on the rear of the top cover. It gives the year as 1994, model :W8mr.
It looks in very good condition overall. A friend thinks it could be Eastern european?.

Never heard of wind either....maybe check the carb' & ignition unit for makers names?....might give a clue as to what it is if re-badged & perhaps confirm eastern-europe origin if something obscure.

A '94 if pre-mix will be 40:1 or more. Likely 50:1, though some makers reckon 100:1 with good oil.
