wind generators on ebay

was looking for rutland 913 on ebay but when i put in worldwide search wind generators not just uk came up with loads of alternatives to rutland .seem very dodgy some of them no feedback etc .can anybody shed any light on them,anybody brought one .i know all about rutland .but dont know anything about these .except very cheap.

you get what you pay for. If they are cheap, they are either very noisy of poor performance.

Perhaps if you indicated which makes and models of generator you were referring to, we'd be better able to offer an opinion. There must be a dozen or so reputable makes of generator, so not having heard of a particular one doesn't necessarily mean very much.

There's been many an occasion I've been sitting in the traffic looking at at portable wind or solar-powered roadworks signs etc thinking 'I bet there's more than one white van driving around borrowing those'.
