People are dying all over Europe from heat though. When you've experienced anything over 45C you realise that air conditioning won't help much in the long run. I went to Vegas in 48C once and about 2 minutes was all that could be managed outside the hotels. We had 45C in St Malo on the boat too, and there wasn't anything we could sensibly do with the day, so while technically "comfortable" I don't think managed is the right word. It's only managing if you're able to carry on with life.No ice on the inside of my (double glazed) sash windows these days....
Sadly we're doing nothing useful about the problem so it'll only get worse. Converting to electric cars is the worst carbon disaster for decades (manufacture, shipping, energy consumption etc.), while placing a tax on jet fuel, any tax at all, would have moved the needle significantly. Money trumps climate every single time though.
