Anybody used Barton Nautilus winches? Seem pretty cheap...

Re Antal, looked them up, don't like the fact that the high speed is direct not geared unlike Lewmar and Harken. My existing old Barlow's are the same. It's too much gap between the ratios. High gear is not much better than pulling the rope!
What I have found is a pair of brand new discontinued Lewmar 28's in chrome at a very favourable price. Lewmar briefly made this alongside the 30. I can't imagine why (anybody know?). Lewmar's own website manuals confirm that the only difference is in the cogs for the low gear - it actually says "all other components same as 30ST."
I can't believe that is a significant difference that one would be able to feel in use so I've got those.
FWIW I looked at the new model Harkens, looked very nice.
