We have a pearl in south of france,

We have bought a tender in the uk and plan to drive it over to france, do we need any special paperwork etc or can we just take it across on a trailer.

If it's going to stay in France long term then officially you'll need to pay EU vat on it when you import it.

Can that be organised once arrived at the boat or would it require sorting prior to departure

Not sure to be honest, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be alogn shortly to describe the mechanics of doing it.

I presume it can be done after the event,but don't know.

Maybe it's as simple as going through the goods to declare lane?
