Will the skinny so and so.....

Yesterday, I made one of my team redundant/early retirement.
I organised the pub and the lunch.
The pub got the numbers wrong, and for the order of 15 buffets, they produced over a 100 mini sausages, 60 pork pies, 30 chicken satays, 3 wholes quiches and 4 enormous trays of sandwiches, plus enough crisps to fill a washing up bowl.

We all tried very hard, and I sank a couple of pints of Olde Skipper (4.5%ABV) as well as 4 pies, 4 satays and a handful of crisps.
We still took a carrier bag away.

Last night Mrs FC, knowing that I eat after weigh in on a Thursday, made a Stilton, Pear and Walnut flan. No caloiries there then. As the diet was blown, I had a couple of bottles of Stella to go with it.

I admit I weighed in early yesterday, but 5 packs was this weeks score.

Today, I have just had my 1/2 sandwich on brown bread of thin sliced ham. I have a banana at 11. Yum, not.

Still, launch next week, new cooker, new pressure cooker, lots of stuff to try out. In case you are all wondering, the Bonded Store on FC is as bountiful as ever.

You been losing weight Jim?
How have you done it?
I tried several things and actually managed to lose a stone over the course of 2009 by eating sensibly and going to the gym a bit.
Last Feb I stopped eating carbs. Don't really miss spuds, pasta and bread but would dearly love some rice now and then.
Another two stone down in the last 12 months but loads of fat gone (presumably I've used it up) but it's costing me a fortune in clothes although the upside is that the various charity shops in town are very pleased with their new stock.
Hit a bit of a wall. Would like to drop another 7-14lbs by the end of this year. Any hints?

D,
you have lost 3 stone, i have lost 2. Therefore, my logic says you are better at it than me.
Except you have forsaken Spuds,Pasta,Rice and Bread, which have been my staple foods for 54 years. I have absolutely no wish to give up any of these, therefore I will continue on the Cakehole Management System, patent applied for.

Eat what you like, but less of it, particularly during the day so you can have something tasty in the early evening but small portion and no pud.
Eat less in the week so you can have a beer at the weekend.
My weight loss happens between Monday evening and Thursday evening.
1 glass of wine on Thursday normally

I am proud that I have not had a single salad as a main meal, only as side dishes.

I also have a blow out Saturday evening. 3 course Indian last week, with large Kingfishers.

A work colleague has just come up with a nice visual.

61 packs of butter laid out end to end is just over 20 feet long. Eeeek!!

Will the skinny so and so please stop hiding behind the lamp post we cant see you :D:D:D

30 years ago that could've been me

For some reason I can't quite fathom, hiding behind lamp posts doesn't seem to work any more

Still, as my rotund brother is fond of saying ... why have a six pack when you can have half a keg?

I've lost 3 stone since last summer.

No-one seems to have noticed.

Not sure what to make of this.

If I don't look noticeably slimmer than I did in the summer, what was the point?

Is no-one saying anything because they think I must be terminally ill?

My regime if anyone is interested, and I know it breaks all the rules, but it worked so I don't care.

Only eat if hungry. Therefore hardly ever ate breakfast.

Lunchtime limited to two slices of wholemeal bread, slice of cooked meat, tomato, cucumber, lettuce but no spread of any kind. One banana

Dinner, modest piece of meat but more likely fish (as less fat) with LOADS of vegetables or salad. Modest carbs (potato, pasta, rice) or no carbs.

Washed down with copious quantities of wine as usual

Tea & coffee as required with skimmed milk

So, no fat, no sugar, limited carbs, loads of veg, as much tea, coffee and wine as desired.

Don't want to lose any more so am now on 'maintenance'.

:D:D:D:D

Nice one.
I can eat pretty much what I like other than carbs including full english, indian, chinese - just have to adapt. Mainly veg instead of spuds etc
Also, you may have lost more as a percentage so could be the 'biggest loser'.

Yep, I have a Party Seven (and I'm old enough to have worked somewhere where they were sold!)

Ah nostalgia!

Watneys Party Seven :)

Happy days, memories of 5-o-clock in the morning when only the real die-hards were left still standing and the terrible words "well there's still some Party Seven left"

And we drank it :D
