Will some electronics wizz build and sell this please?

Sony or JVC seem to be producing the best for a reasonable cost, What sort of size are you looking for?

A couple of these guys start at a 3" coaxial (seperate woofer and tweeter) and go up to 10" components, they all produce waterproof speakers,

JBL
Fusion
Sony
JVC
Clarion

I personally prefer JBL, they give a great depth of sound and only slightly more expensive than other mainstream brands

Yup - got this on my new Jeneau as a £50 extra when we commisioned her the other day. Absolutely no idea how it works, where it is etc but if you contact Waypoint 1 marine electronics in Queen Annes Battery marina in Plymouth I'm sure they'll do the same for you.

Not when sailing, but a little bit of mood music at dawn, dusk at anchor is just peachy. And since I've always had a VHF repeater speaker in the cockpit anyways, I might as well have two for the odd stereophonic experience now and then.

How about "Ride of the Valkyries" full pelt in a half gale? Rude not to..

WTF do you want music from the idiot box when sailing? Sound of wind and water not enough for you?

Carefully chosen to be appropriate for the setting e.g Tristan and Isolde off Cornwall. And its to drown out the sound of the damn wind and water that you need the volume for....

Wonderfull...

External VHF Speaker / Audio Interface
This device allows you to here your VHF Radio via the original Audio Speakers - thus eliminating the need to add another external extension VHF Speaker. It simply plugs inline on the audio (CD/radio/cassette player) loom and is then plugged into the ''External Speaker'' outlet of your fixed or hand held VHF radio. Once any voice commands are

received over the VHF the ''one'' audio speaker will be muted and the VHF commends will be heard over this speaker. Whilst this is happening
the other three audio speakers will remain playing the audio source. If the audio source is not on (i.e. the CD/radio player is turned off) the interface will simply act as an external speaker devise. PLEASE SEE TECHNICAL AREA FOR DIAGRAM AND FURTHER INFO.
