My old R70 chartplotter will work with a NT+ card local but does anybody know if can use either a Wide area or Max card. ?

These people were really helpful when I was buying an NT+ card for my ancient plotter http://www.mesltd.co.uk/

look on the c-map site it will give coverage of wide+
I have the RL80C + & its still a very good system, it is bulletproof unlike a lappi

Going across to Dunkirk and my "local" Thames card runs out about a couple of miles short .
Need second "local" chart to cover entire journey.
Been checking Ebay for something that will cover those last couple of miles into Dunkirk harbour..
