So glad I joined this forum! No idea what you're on about, but the plethora of like minded nutters is brilliant. I've just been researching having my boat delivered by chinook helicopter but the cost is a little prohibitive

I've always thought buying a new boat and then putting it on a lorry to get it home an odd thing to do.

With a little common sense this is a perfectly doable trip.

What about a detour, round to Fishguard, over to Ireland, up the Ireland coast and back across to Norf Wales.

Kwackers will snuggle up and keep you warm at night.

Why are you looking at doing it in one go if there are no time constraints? You have Neyland and Pwllheli en route that both have petrol, so you don't need to do it on one tank of fuel. You also have Aberystwyth en route as an alternative safe port and no doubt a suitably nearby road side garage. Do it over three days and enjoy it!

The trip is perfectly doable given the right weather and planning but I don't think you'd enjoy yourself doing it in one go, even if it were possible.

And Newport and Cardigan that have garages nearby, and are perfectly good entries in reasonable conditions. and dry moorings at Gwbert if you don't want to go up as far up Teifi as Cardigan.

Sfunny enough-- Some Say -- it was origionally about Rhyl but nowt would rhyme properly and --Some Say -- it was Bangor NI!
Sfunny enough I came from Rhyl to Bangor!
Sfunny enough Bangor Pier (Wales I) was renovated in the mid 80's and I put some dosh into the refurb, now We are trying to get the local council and Gwynedd County Council to stick a floating pontoon on the end to do trips and resurrect the ferry service that used to operate across the Menai Strait, sfunny awld World, innit!:D
