No, my posts were correct. If you think I was arrogant, it's only because you've now decided you were wrong, and you're embarrassed.
There isn't an easy way to post corrections when someone else has posted something which is obviously wrong. You can try gently, but usually just get a repeat of the original misleading assertions. You can try more forcibly, but then get accused of being rude or arrogant. But the bottom line is that there are lots of people who just read these forums - not post in them - and they rely on them for good advice. For that reason, I believe it's important to try to persevere in correcting misleading posts.
I wish I could share with you some of the private messages I've had - you'd be very surprised. (And possibly more embarrassed).
