That is fine - as long as it won't rust on a boat.
If it will rust on my boat on the canal in Stretford, it will rust on a fork lift truck in Trafford Park
Perhaps I could coat the metal parts with Contralube 770?

I use these

fork lift truck fuses- mount them inside an ABS plastic box.
If you use plumbing solder do not use acid core flux - it is for plumbing only and will eat the wire.
If soldering use rosin core flux, not acid core.
I would properly crimp a closed lug and then use adhesive heat shrink over it.
I'll be crimping with a hydraulic crimped. The cable is about 22mm. Will 38.1mm 2:1 heatshrink do the job, or would I be better using 25.4mm 2:1 ?

Fuse and holder arrived today - look the part.... Aren't they big!!
Are the fuses the same as ANL fuses, and are the studs 8mm or 10mm . I haven't got callipers and, with my eyes, I can't tell when looking at them against a ruler
The base I bought is as follows:

Doesn't seem to show the stud size on the tech drawing.
Thanks again
Richard
Almost certain they are 10mm. Dunno about the ANL fuse tho' they look similar.
