Are there a lot of marina's that have Wifi, so you can use the internet? (and see the weather forecasts)

what sites are good to use for weahter forecasts in the south of France?

Dan

when i was last in my home port i called marinas along the coast to ask if their wl-fi was on and working, and if it was included in the daily charge.
The cost g9ven was between 15 and 25 euros for 15mins!
Im now freezing my way around a very rainy baltic, but as theres no internet outside private homes librarys with old slow conections, ive bought a gprs phonewhich i use with my pda this is very onexpensive works wonderfully and which im useing now from my cockpit (blue sky and 'fresh today)

Wi-fi not on French Rivieria (digression sorry) !

Hi Stephen

Good to see you here again. Glad GPRS working well. We hope to be using wi-fi in the next week or 2 in Dartmouth - line laid last Friday - aerial on order ! Weather has been glorious - hoping for lots more sailing this year !

Re: Wi-fi not on French Rivieria (digression sorry) !

I was getting excellent free wifi in Dartmouth two weeks ago, when moored alongside on the Town Quay (public pontoon). But I do have a 22dB yagi. I'm also getting free wifi from the anchorage in Falmouth. Not perfect, but OK.
