Sorry about the link. It seems to take you to the weather station rather than the webcam which is strange as that is the URL shown while I have the webcam on the screen.

The windspeed is given as 3mph and the water temperature is 16°C.

Both are way out!

The trees are bent double at the moment and without a wetsuit, the Lake is pretty chilly still. It's not like there's been much sunshine this year yet.

I am looking at the trees on Rayrigg Wyke and there is virtually no breeze at all. Maybe 4mph max. (update, says 6mph now) Plenty of rain.
Trouble with their water temp measurement is that it is probably taken near the shore and the first six inches can often feel warm (fnarr, fnarr) where the rocks have warmed the water. Big surprise when you go deeper or further out!

Humidity 0% ? I'm not sure that matches the available evidence.

I don't that sensor has ever worked. It's certainly around 98% at the moment.

Ah. I've just tried it in Firefox and it works there but not in my default Opera.
Strange as I must have the right plug-in. If I knew which one it was I could associate it with Opera.

What version of Opera?

I'm still on version 10.10, never seen a need to upgrade, and it works for me.

Yup, that was a pretty special day. Particularly considering the time before & after it. No, the lake is back to normal now. If it wasn't for all that rain you wouldn't even have a lake there!

Wow, that's a lot, your boathouse walkways will be covered! Still, it's acting as a giant reservoir soaking up the excess water to reduce the risk of flooding along the R Leven. Got to be important that.

Aha! Because the builders were not stupid they built the jetty at an angle upwards towards the door at the back.

That is clever, because it isn't obvious when you walk on it, but it does allow for variable depths. I'm impressed, it's quality workmanship & design.
