Hi, I'll text you my phone number. I'll be around this evening. Give me a call say around 8pm if you're there and I can come along to try out my laptop in your location. At least I know it works fine in other parts of the marina. I don't mind installing my ext. antenna temporarily on your pc to see if you can get any better signal. In the end, you may just be in a blind spot. Over on the East jetty we are finally getting a Square Mile connection after a month or more without....
Actually, I wouldnt be surprised if Ofcom would find and prosecute an individual for a piddling offence like this, rather than stopping the various mega rip offs taking place within their remit.
I am also wondering why there is a legal power limit, and why it is set at this level?
A lot of this is to do with the set up in Brighton, a particular bug bear of mine. Square mile used to work fine while it was free. As soon as they charged it become too slow to work. Funnily enough their connection in Eastbourne appears to be fine.
I think the problem is under investment by Square Mile - they have put another connection in there - but it is just not enough for the 1800 boats that are in there.
