A whim ?

A [lost] bet?

To match his 20yr old g/f's favourite dress ?

It obviously cost 6 figures ..... so why the colour ?

My phonecam doesn't really do the colour justice. its far brighter than it looks on here

Thank you.... but did I go somewhere, (virtually I mean)?

From Dictionaries

'Blue is associated with water; on coloured maps, oceans, lakes, and streams usually appear blue'

'The term Les Bleus is often used in a sporting context. In all but motor sports, the Italian colour is light blue, and Italian athletes are called Azzurri.'

'Gradients of Blue and other smooth, relaxing visual techniques incorporating Blue are considered calming and soothing, perhaps related to its association with water and to the sky.'

Blue is often a colour used to symbolize honesty and trustworthiness. Connected to this, blue traditionally is associated with the Christian virtue faith.'

Plus lots more resons.

Personaly though I think it looks awful

Re: Why ?

Just an aside before I start.
I have trouble with green and blue!
Firstly, I was going to comment "Green to make One Green with Envy".
Then the Blue comments arrived!

In My Marina used to sit (about 30 years ago) a Definateley Green Italian Boat.
"Bagliette"? or summat like that, wasn,t a Ducati or an MV Augusta, I would reckognised one of those!

"Minty" She was called.
A Local Entrepenuer owned Her.
Her first owner however was the owner/ director oe whatever of a certain Gum making operation.
"Wrigley"
Wrigleys spearmint gum!
The vessel was liveried in said green to match the chewey.
Yuck! it looked orrible!
And that's coming from Me what can't tell the difference from the two hues!
I,d like a 57 Chevy by the way Pauline, not 56!
In two tone. For obvious reasons.
With white wall tires (well yer have to spell it in Yankee) so's they match Me stick, I,m gonna need shortly!

About 12% of men are colour blind, and what to you may be duck egg blue may to him be a quite different shade of pink. (Not really, but you know what I mean)

still a color is always a personal point of view
some like it white
others prefare it blue
a more eccentric owner might like this turquoise green

so it a point of view, in the end if he gets fed up of the color he just has to repaint it
which if he spent about 10 mill on a yacht i think should be a problem for him

Judging from the pic, I'd say that it's the boat to be awful, in the first place.
The colour is almost the nicest part of it, by comparison...

personally i wouldnt have it ...
but its his boat ...his money ...dont like ....dont look!!!

Btw where is our highly knowleable know it all Mr. TCM????
haven t seen him comment on this yet.
