Why my wife won't come sailing?

Have you watched "Last Chance Lawyer"? If not, you might enjoy it. I did.

Great program, great Lawyer (did I really say that?). I noticed he'd successfully defended some people multiple times so either the Police were trying to frame them for something or......................

A bit like Rumpole, then. Guilt or innocence was irrelevant. As one of Robert Heinlein's characters put it, "Straining at gnats and swallowing camels is a required course in law school"
 
The US lawyer states that cases are not decided on the facts; they are decided on emotion. He also says that the defendant, when he or she walks into the court, is always presumed to be guilty. I suspect that he is right on both counts. His wife is terrific.

Courts are the same here and probably elsewhere. The American system is a bit brutal but he's right about how cases are decided.
