people be so inconsiderate of other users of the sea??? we spent Saturday in Oxwich catching up with old friends and all the while we were on deck, having lunch /drinks etc, speed boats, and jet ski's constantly ""buzzed " my boat to the point where one skier nearly splatted himself on the hull of my boat, things became generally uncomfortable to all on board, but as soon as we put ashore in the dinghy the annoying activity stopped, Why? Why? this type of behaviour? and for what reason?? any ideas ??

I don't know, but No1 Moose and SWMBO went out on the boat the other day while I was at work, GRRR!! and some Mongoose of a dinghy sailor in a Laser went crashing into their anchor chain at about 10kt's while they were anchored (with a black ball up) at Itchenor, He didn't hurt himself but did take a chunk out of his keel when he stopped erm,, "quickly". No1 then spent the rest of the afternoon with the newly purchased Supersoaker drenching any dinghy sailor who decided it would be fun to race past about 3 feet away It proved to be quite an effective method I understand/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I have to say the dingy sailors are a complete pain (note the lack of h).
They mass and flock and race in the channels in chichester and can be a hazard

After 10mins (or maybe seconds) on a scooter or sea-poo the novelty wears off so posing becomes the thrill. Once had a saddo buzz us on his scooter off Poole then noticed it was none other than Tony Blackburn -case proved.

May this has something to do with it.... was on the Thames moored up on Cookham Meadow and there is a sailing club there. Sat on deck had breakfast and coffee etc etc, took a while. The little raggie that popped into the water just before breakfast was still alsong side my boat - only 24 feet - an hour later - some one forgot to tell him that YOU NEED WIND TO SAIL......./forums/images/icons/smile.gif
