LOL, I had to look at the video again to see what you mean re.the use of fins.
Though in my experience a proper movement is much more critical while diving, rather than swimming on the surface.
And that lady is not a diver, in fact.
Re. the bow winch, I actually don't use it a lot, because imho it's much more convenient to tighten the stern lines (where I also have winches, of course) after securing the bow line(s) at the correct length.
Anyway, in my boat the "side drum" is reasonably easy to use on port side, after turning the line around the bollard.
Re. the ray, actually it is rather rare also around here. In fact, we spotted it in a marine protected area ("Mal di Ventre" island).
Point taken re. the camera usage, though the clips were all taken while snorkeling. It's much easier to control the movements during dives. Besides, all those clips were taken just as something to share with friends, without caring a lot about their "quality". And last but not least, also the camera (which is not too shabby for pics, particularly when shooting in raw format) is rather poor for videos, by today's standards.
