the dot after my username on a post coloured red and says I am invisable, do I have to change something?

In the blue bar towards the top of the page click User CP then, under Settings & Options, click Edit Options and you will probably find that the Use Invisible Mode box (under Login & Privacy) is ticked. Click the box to untick, scroll down to the bottom of the page and Save Changes.

HTH but it really doesn't make much difference to anything.
