Why is rain wet?

stupid boy!!

Would'nt our climate be so much better if the rain was'nt as wet?

Don't you know that ANYTHING kept outside in our bloody climate gets wet? If you buy it an umbrella, or better still bring it indoors, make it welcome and sit it down by the fire ,it'll soon dry out

Sorry Jimi, you need rain (water) to sustain life, I'm happy about that. What pi$$es me off is the time that it falls from the sky. Sometime in the middle of the night will be fine.

Except when I'm sailing at night that is.

And as he drove on, the rainclouds dragged down the sky after him, for, though he did not know it, Rob McKeena was a Rain God. All he knew was that his working days were miserable and he had a succession of lousy holidays. All the clouds knew was that they loved him and wanted to be near him, to cherish him, and to water him.

It's wet because the water molecule is not linear and the oxygen atom has a higher electronegativity than hydrogen atoms, it carries a slight negative charge, whereas the hydrogen atoms are slightly positive. As a result, water is a polar molecule with an electrical dipole moment. The net interactions between the dipoles on each molecule cause an effective skin effect at the interface of water with other substances, or air at the surface, the latter given rise to water's high surface tension. This dipolar nature contributes to water molecules' tendency to form hydrogen bonds which cause water's many special properties.[10] The polar nature also favors adhesion to other materials.

not if you make them dry in the first place, then they will suck up all the water, and jimi will be dry.

We have the beginning of the New Meteorology here, I feel.

Stage Two. A controllable Jet Stream. We get planes to fly in circles in front of the jet stream. This creates a volume of static charged air.. The charge is then manipulated by huge aerials on the aground, to consolidate and move the blocking volume, so as to steer the jet stream in a way so as to be most beneficial to Forum aspirations.

You think that you've got wet? We've had only five days since the beginning of August when it hasn't rained at some time.

it's well known in the construction industry that rain only falls on the client's land at night, so contractors can't claim costs for being held up by bad weather
